BOTOX® Cosmetic and Fillers
BOTOX® Cosmetic and fillers are non-surgical cosmetic treatments designed to reduce
the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and volume loss in the face. BOTOX® works by
temporarily relaxing facial muscles that cause dynamic wrinkles, while fillers correct lost
facial volume and smooth out deeper lines. Either of both of these treatments can
restore a more youthful, refreshed appearance with little to no downtime.
Both BOTOX® Cosmetic and fillers are quick, minimally invasive treatments that are administered via injection here in-office. Here’s what you can expect:
Candidates
You may be a candidate for BOTOX® Cosmetic or fillers if:
- You have fine lines or wrinkles caused by facial expressions (BOTOX® Cosmetic)
- You have wrinkles around your eyes, between your brows, or on your forehead (BOTOX® Cosmetic)
- You have volume loss in the cheeks, lips, or lower face (fillers)
- You have deeper wrinkles or creases in the cheeks, nasolabial folds, and lower face (fillers)
- You are in good overall health and have realistic expectations for the outcome
Recovery
BOTOX® Cosmetic and fillers have minimal downtime. Here’s what you can expect after your treatment:
You may experience mild swelling, redness, or bruising at the injection sites. These side effects are temporary and should subside within a few hours to a few days. You can resume normal activities immediately after treatment, but it’s best to avoid strenuous exercise, lying down, or rubbing the treated areas for the first 24 hours.
BOTOX® Cosmetic results typically become visible within a few days and last 3 to 4 months. Results from fillers are immediate and can last from 1 to 2 years. For both treatments, regular follow-up treatments can help maintain your results over time.
